Fundacion Respeta Mi is a foundation against child abuse and was founded on December 10, 1991. It is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. Our goals are to contribute to the prevention of child abuse in all its forms, and representing the interests of victims of child abuse. The Respeta Mi foundation will focus primarily on universal prevention. This includes that more attention is given to education, information campaigns and new knowledge and insight about child abuse, aimed at the entire population.

        Activities

• Managing an information center with literature, DVD’s, videos, magazines, booklets, folders, flyers and posters related to child abuse and prevention
• On request lectures and workshops on the topic of child abuse and prevention
• Training and giving courses about child abuse to professionals who work with children in the social, medical and educational fields
• Media exposure such as spots, television programs and newspaper articles

Fundacion Respeta Mi consists of a voluntary board, a committee of information and other volunteers, supported by employees; a part-time office staff member and a part-time policy maker. Office hours are from Monday through Friday 9:00 u a.m. -13:00 u p.m. In the afternoon by appointment.
